Oklahoma Lefty April 2012
" The Forty Nineteens is a band that mixes the best elements of college rock, garage rock, alt country, indie rock, and punk rock, resulting in a record that is wicked fun to listen to.

No Expiration Date is equal parts Daramarama, The Lazy Cowgirls, Two Cow Garage, Guided By Voices, and the Ramones creating a sound that is as satisfying and fresh as it is familiar and nostalgic—in other words this is a perfect rock ‘n’ roll record. This band is unabashed in their love of ‘80s college rock and that is so refreshing to hear, but the best part about it is how honest and heartfelt it is.

These songs could have easily come out during the heyday of the pre-Nirvana alternative music scene and found a rightful place next to the likes of The Replacements, Uncle Tupelo, and The Smithereens. At the same time though they fit perfectly next to the ‘90s indie rock of Superchunk and Pavements and the ‘90s/00s alt country of Drag the River and Lucero; hell there’s not much that this record wouldn’t sound great or at home next to. Seriously No Expiration Date is that freaking good. If you are a fan of any of the aforementioned bands then I highly suggest checking out The Forty Nineteens, you won’t be disappointed."
